Architecture — Earth Orbit Rendezvous
Karshan-K9 cannot lift full Apollo-style stack. Two launches:
- K9: Sancak lunar lander + Lunar Transfer Stage (LTS) → LEO
- K4 (+2 days): 3× Gökmen in Okçu capsule → dock to LTS/lander stack
- TLI burn → lunar orbit → powered descent (Sancak) → surface ops → ascent → rendezvous → re-entry (Septenez recovery)

- Factories (Ortemm) assembling flight hardware
- Astronauts: 14 hr/day simulator syllabus
- Sancak vacuum test: not yet flown — scheduled May 2009 (hard vacuum, descent engine throttle)
